If you pay in at an Alliance & Leicester
branch, your A&L card account will be credited the same day.
But if you pay in at a NatWest branch for the
credit of your NatWest credit card account, you apparently have
to wait up to 3 working days for the credit to reach your account
even if you have paid in cash.
Does anyone have more examples of credit card
delays?

In an age of fast communications I was
surprised when I made a payment from my TSB account to my Egg credit
card. The money came straight off my account and vanished for 10
days!! Then it was credited to my Egg card ... so where is that
money during the time they had to send a carrier pigeon from the
TSB to Egg? Making money for someone else? Surely not ... how can
they justify this kind of timescale in today's communication age.
If I took 10 days to respond to my customers' wishes they wouldn't
be customers much longer.
This is not the first comment about delays in
getting payments to an Egg card account - more here
